FAQ

How do I get a library card?

You must register with a librarian for a library card. You will need some form of ID to present at the circulation desk to receive a library card. For example, the librarian may ask to see your driver's license, a bill with your current address, or a student ID before a card can be issued. Cards are issued for immediate use and may be used the same day they are issued. Those patrons that are 18 and under will need to have a parent or legal guardian complete a permission slip before a card can be issued. Please notify the library if you card is lost or stolen so that we can prevent others from using your card.

You can place holds at the library or while using the library's online catalog. Check to see that Pine River is the pickup location.  Click Place Hold.   If hold is successful, click ok.  If not successful try again or call the library for assistance.  (If you want a specific copy --like the June issue of a magazine then you click Hold Specific Copy and choose the month to place that hold.) You will receive an email, phone call, or text when your hold arrives at the library.
